Immersion Program
The Immersion Program integrates field study, design practice, and social engagement, guiding students to learn on-site and develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between architecture, landscape, history, and community.
Since its first collaboration with The School of Architecture in 2020—launching a site-specific design workshop at Taliesin West in Arizona—IET has continued to expand both its locations and curriculum.
In 2024, the program entered Chicago, focusing on modernist architecture and urban fabric analysis. Starting in 2025, it will further expand across multiple locations in the U.S., including the Taliesin in Wisconsin, urban field research in New York, and landscape experiments in Phoenix and Sedona—enabling participants to continuously reflect on the “context of design” within diverse geographic and cultural settings.
